WTF=What the Fluff?

What fur? Cat fur? Up in her’-Up in her’ Y’all gone make me lose my mind. Up in her’!—DMX

My Maine Coon Lilly had a laceration on her back and had to have the area around it shaved. It didn't seem that big but look at this. There's a whole ‘nuther cat laying there, funny story actually. When my oldest daughter throws out treats willy-nilly, a few fall into Lily’s fur, well Tyson will try to get the treat and he accidentally bit a blister of some sort, and it turned into whole ‘nutha problem that needed to be looked at. I underestimated how much fur is on Lilly. No wonder it takes all day to get fluffed out. A dreadlock develops every now and then…See below.

Where My Cat?

Is this all that is left? Y’all better stop playin’! Up in here-Up in here! Y’all gonna make me lose my mind up in here!

Tyson and Lilly

What had happed was…that from this vantage point Tyson spied a cat treat in Lilly’s fur and decided to get it. A fight ensued.

Lilly’s Wound

So apparently when Tyson tried to get the treat he also burst a blister that was there. We took Lilly to the Vet and he shaved the area, gave her antibiotics, and we have to alternate applying warm and cold compresses and report whether the wound is getting better. It is getting better and is drying out. KIDS!, I mean CATS!
